About Us
ALGOTEX was founded in the 1980s thanks to an intuition of Raimondo Cattabriga who, based on more than 30 years of experience in clothing production and applied software, decided together with his son Matteo to invest in an innovative project of digital printing plotters for the fashion industry.
Driven by the continuous search for more and more effective, practical and advantageous solutions for the different stages of production, Cattabriga had the idea of introducing Raster technology instead of Vector technology used until then. To the Raster writing technology ALGOTEX associated, first in the world, the inkjet one, a choice that proved to be highly innovative compared to the pen printing standards, until then used by competitors, with enormous advantages in terms of time and error reduction.
In 2011 ALGOTEX became part of Aretè Cocchi Technology, an industrial technology group focused on technological innovation and growth serving key sectors for sustainable development, with 14 brands, 15 operating companies, 10 plants in 6 countries (Italy, Germany, France, the U.S., China and Switzerland), business activities in more than 100 markets and more than 900 people from over 30 nationalities.
