ALGOTEX IS BORN

ALGOTEX is founded as a supplier of CAD solutions for the clothing industry and purchases plotters from the market.

1988
1988

RASTER TECHNOLOGY IS INTRODUCED

ALGOTEX starts producing its first plotter, launching the raster solution on the market, with Dot Matrix technology instead of vector technology, thus revolutionising the textile industry.

THE FIRST INKJET PLOTTER MAKES ITS DEBUT

ALGOTEX develops the first Raster plotter with low-resolution piezoelectric inkjet technology.

1997
1997

THE FIRST HIGH-RESOLUTION INKJET PLOTTER

ALGOTEX introduces the first plotter with high-resolution piezoelectric inkjet technology. It then implements a new production strategy, becoming a supplier of plotters for manufacturers and resellers of CAD solutions.

THE NEW LOGOTYPE

ALGOTEX changes its image and logo, which now reflect its guiding principles: design, simplicity and respect for the environment.

MARKER SYSTEM AND INDUSTRIALISATION

ALGOTEX launches on the market the Marker System, which is made up of Jumbo Roll, Roll-Up and Roll-Collector. For the first time ever, this system of accessories turns printing into an industrialised process, through a mechanical support for paper rolls weighing up to 200 kg (Jumbo Roll), a system for organising print files and cutting printed paper rolls on demand (Roll-Up), and a smart storage system for newly cut rolls (Roll-Collector).

THE FIRST BUBBLE JET PLOTTER

ALGOTEX introduces the first plotter with non-proprietary ‘bubble jet’ inkjet technology, once again pioneering a technology that would go on to set the benchmark globally.

ALGOTEX JOINS ARETÈ COCCHI TECHNOLOGY

ALGOTEX becomes part of the Aretè Cocchi Technology industrial group.

A NEW PRODUCT RANGE

With guidance from and through the investments made by the multinational company ACT, ALGOTEX begins to revamp its product portfolio to ensure its products meet new market demands.

NEW HEADQUARTERS AND LEAN MANUFACTURING

ALGOTEX relocates to new headquarters, the current site in Crespellano, and adopts a lean manufacturing approach.

PROJECT CUT TECHNOLOGY MAKES ITS DEBUT

The ‘ProjetCut’ Cutter Plotter is developed, the only ALGOTEX machine that is also able to cut cardboard, as well as offering the standard printing function. This 2-in-1 solution went on to have a huge impact on the market, particularly in the Far East.

THE VEGA AND MIRA BASIC PLOTTERS MAKE THEIR DEBUT

ALGOTEX brings to market two new plotters from its entry-level line, offering unrivalled quality and performance at an affordable price. The new Vega and Mira Basic ensure high printing speed, quieter operation and are practical, as well as having an unconventional modern design.

CHALLENGING THE PANDEMIC AND THE MARKET WITH CHX

Despite the Covid-19 emergency, ALGOTEX continues to invest and maintain its market presence. Right in the middle of the pandemic, the CHX Plotter makes its debut, the fastest plotter on the market, which is part of the HP range.
